With a double dose of sass, spunk, and smarts, the Yorkie-poo is a cuteness overload who stole our hearts. As the offspring of a Yorkshire terrier (Yorkie) and a toy poodle or miniature poodle, this designer crossbreed has the best of both worlds.
These little dogs are as full of surprises as a box of chocolates! Yorkie-poo puppies have a wide variety of coats. Some have the typical bicolor or tricolor pattern of a Yorkie featuring black, brown, blue, gray, red, gold, and tan. Others pick up more solid hues from a poodle, such as black, rust, brown, gray, beige, and white. Coat texture might vary, too—often sleek and fluffy, but occasionally a tad coarse and scruffy or glossy and smooth.
The Yorkie-poo has it all: a fetching underbite, a cuddly coat that can range from soft waves to tightly curled curls, and a playful personality that’s hard to resist. She loves everyone she meets and bonds closely with her humans. This pint-sized pooch is well suited for first-time pet parents as well as seniors—just make sure she gets at least 20 minutes of exercise every day to keep her at the peak of health.
